He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Richard and Hazel Lois Jones (Reynolds); his son Gary; his siblings, Mildred DeJong, Myrtle Lois Martin, Elsie Jones and Thomas Jones Jr.; and his great grandchild Blake Wynn.
He is survived by: his wife Violet Marie Chilcote; his sons, Rev. Clifford Jones (Karen) of Princeton, KY, Keith Jones (Susan) of Chanhassen, MN and Steven Jones (Cynthia) of Portland, OR; his grandchildren, Anita Gillis, Brook Miles, Amy Jones, Ione Jones, Curtis Jones, Ryan Jones and Oscar Jones; and his great grandchildren, Robert Wynn, Noah Miles, Kenny Gillis and Kaylah Jones.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church in Oskaloosa or the Oskaloosa Rotary Club.
