He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Marsh and Opal Neifert Marsh; and his siblings, Bobby Marsh, Patricia Marsh, Linda Galvin and Leah Garrett.
He is survived by: his former wife Joyce Arlene Murray; his wife Melba "Deon" Tyrell; his sons, Steven Marsh (Susan) of Attica, Mark Marsh of Colfax, John Marsh (Valerie Kottke-Cole) of Ankeny, Brad Marsh (Kendra) of Knoxville and Brian Marsh (Carolyn) of Altoona; his grandchildren, Derek Marsh, Ashley Marsh, Zachary Marsh (Kimmy), Spencer Marsh (Sarah), Katelyn Marsh, Katie Fish (Jake), Cameron Marsh and Brittney Marsh; his great grandchildren, Maddy Van Zee, Waylon, Kinzley, Bowen Marsh and Jaxson Fish; his stepchildren, Mark Tyrrel and Angela Welsh (Pat); his stepgrandchildren, Jordan Tyrrel and Ashley Vance (Chris); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Aubrey and Cohen Vance.
