He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hersey and Elizabeth Cass Hersey; and his brothers, Timothy Hersey and Thomas Hersey. He is survived by: his wife Kay Hersey of Oskaloosa; his daughters, Angela Aery (Bobby Harper) of Ottumwa, Amber Hersey of Oskaloosa and Alaynna Dunfee (Michael) of Oskaloosa; and his siblings, Johnathan Hersey of Oskaloosa, Samuel Hersey (Wanda) of Washington and Sara Gardner of Washington.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gateway Church of the Nazarene (140 Gateway Dr, Oskaloosa, IA 52577).
