He is survived by: his daughter Deb Fox (Gary) of Otho; his grandchildren, April Essam (Shane), Abby Hansen (Ross), Alex Bloomquist (Betsy), Lukas Ashbrook (Baileigh), Landon Ashbrook and Nick Fox (Pam); his great grandchildren, Logan, Rylie Kreft, Tayven Essam, Daymek, Kollins, Kamdyn Ashbrook, Micah and Leo Fox; his siblings, Ray Rathbun and Karen Huhn; his friend Kay Reed; and his wife Marilyn Cook. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM and from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Laufersweiler Funeral Home (307 S 12th St, Fort Dodge, IA 50501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM at the same location.
