With sadness, we share the passing of Helen Theulen (Blakesburg, Iowa). Helen, born on January 24, 1935, passed away on September 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Overturf and Ethel Overturf (Renfrew); and her husbands, Gordon Ernest Johnson and Bernie. She is survived by: her siblings, Ralph, Thelma and Gladys; her children, Jeff Johnson (Ilene) of Blakesburg and Susan Dake (Bruce) of Creston, Iowa; and her granddaughters, Brooke Snyder (David) of Adair and Courtney Dake of Hamburg. She is also survived by many relatives, friends and neighbors.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 1:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sinnott Funeral Home (2030 IA-5, Albia, IA 52531). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the Blakesburg Methodist Church (104 N High St, Blakesburg, IA 52536).
Memorials may be directed to the Blakesburg Fire Department or the Blakesburg Methodist Church.
