It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Ann Vitko of Ottumwa, Iowa, who passed away on August 25, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Hayes and Beatrice Hayes (Lasley); her husband Jim Vitko; her son Michael Vitko; and her sisters, Helen and Shirley.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Ackles (Jeff) of Friendswood, TX, Teresa Barajas (Juan) of Garland, TX and John Vitko (Deborah) of Rathbun, IA. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to the Mystic American Legion.
