She was predeceased by: her parents, Shirley Jean Handling (Nichols) and George Handling; her grandparents, Gerald, Margaret Nichols, George and Marie Handling; and her siblings, George William "Billy" Handling II and Brigett Hartsock.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Skinner (Fonzi Short), Leland "Bubby" Skinner (Hope Schakel), Michelle Chrisman and Richard "Richie" Chrisman II (Tiffany); her close friend Frank Langgin; her siblings, Hope Sanders, Heather Ingles, Michelle Sanders and Tyann Handling; and her sister-in-law Tammy Wells. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stacy's Son's Home (11232 Angle Rd, Ottumwa, IA 52501).
An open memorial has been established to the family.
