He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Balichek and Ruth Balichek (Engelbart); his wife Barbara Skinner; and his sisters, Carol Balichek and Donna Hall.

He is survived by: his children, Lynn Balichek (Rita) and Dan Balichek. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
