He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Brooks and Bernice Brooks (Burkett); his wife Bonnie Wilcut; and his son Frankie Bixby. He is survived by: his children, Kathy Brooks of Oxford, Frank Brooks (Marlys) of Tiffin, Becky Poggenphol of Lone Tree and Tammy O'Leary (Tony) of Riverside; and his pet Bailey.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 133 E Main St, Oxford, IA 52322. A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Family of Elmer Brooks.
