She is survived by: her children, Gatana Stoner (Michael) and Terry Rourke (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Sonya Moses (Korie), Brannan Stoner (Kristi), Mariah Hahn (Jeremy), Nile Rourke and Chase Rourke; her great grandchildren, Ashton Stoner DeGroot, Alexis Moses, Andenn Moses, Akenna Moses, Kalani Stoner, Quinn Hahn, Camryn Hahn and Beckham Hahn; her stepchildren, Jeff Braatz (Lori), Brett Braatz (Patti) and Carmell Tobalsky (Keith); her stepgrandchildren, Josh Braatz, Jessie Geurink (Jeff), Tera Tenuta (John), Ashley Chrisinger (David), Brianna Hardy (Troy) and Sara Severe (Russ); her siblings, Dick Edwards (Janis) and Connie Colony (Lynn); Karen Tucker.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Joan's honor to the Oxford First Responders or Iowa City Hospice.
