She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil E. Holderness, Sr. and Elsie Mae Holderness (Graham); her husband Gary R. Embree; her son Terry; and her grandchildren, Ashley and Derek.
She is survived by: her children, Brian (Balbina) and Laurie; her grandchildren, Christopher, Samantha, Dillon, Jazmin, Arissa and Dallas; and her great grandchildren, Dean, Avalynne, Alexa, Jaxon, Olivia and Remy.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Weekes VanEck VFW Post No. 3949 (609 Hollywood Blvd, Iowa City, IA 52240).
