He is survived by: his wife Patricia Nelson Lewis; his children, Mark Lewis (Leah), Sarah DiLorenzo (Jesse) and Matthew Lewis; his grandchildren, Luke, Bella DiLorenzo and Noah Lewis; his cousins, Mary Tate (Jeremy) and Karl Lewis; his nephew John Pacha (Angie); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Clara Nyunt (Richard), Caleb (Autumn), Blaze and Cooper; his uncle Johnny; his siblings-in-law, Evelyn and Steve Pacha; and his close friends, Penny, Lee, Barb, Bob, Marti, Rich, Kathy, Frank, Virgil, Cindy, Steven, Donna, Theresa and Jackie.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (215 Summit St, Oxford, IA 52322). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Mary's Oxford, Iowa, or Heart Friends at the University of Iowa Hospitals.
