Cheryl Ortmann Obituary
We bid farewell to Cheryl Ortmann of Palo, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 30, 2025 at the age of 81. Cheryl touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Kiley and Wahneta Robbins Kiley. She is survived by: her husband John (Jack); her children, Greg of Cedar Rapids, Dan (Amy) of Palo, Jeff (Jamie) of Palo and Sister Colleen Hotchkiss (Bruce) of Clive; her grandchildren, Kiyla, Lindsey, Briauna, Molly, Morgan and John; her great grandchildren, Cash, Scout, Rowan, Rhett, Reese, Quentin, Blakely, Sawyer, Sutton, Shay, Safiya and Rose; her cousins, Pat Arp, Anne Himmeslbach, Jim Bearns, Tom Bearns and Mary Bearns; her sibling's children, Richard Hotchkiss and Kathrine Hotchkiss Fanter; and her brother-in-law Jerry Ortmann.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Jude Catholic Church (50 Edgewood Rd NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
