He was predeceased by: his parents, Lauren Gibney and Maxine Gibney (McVay). He is survived by: his former wife Lisa Gibney Wright; his sons, Jimmy Gibney and Aaron Gibney (Amanda Freeman); his sister Jackie Gardemann (Danny); his niece Rhonda Wilson (Brad); his nephew Chad Gardemann (Liz); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kendall, Kylie Murr, Cam, Caitlin Wilson, Landry and Bennett Gardemann; and his close friend Marlene Schneider.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jerry's memory to Palo Methodist Church and Camp Courageous.
