He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Shook and Lennie Shook; and his sisters, Joyce Varcoe and Lori Peterson. He is survived by: his children, Darnell Blacklock (Glenn) and J. R. Shook (Terri); his grandchildren, Hannah, Noah, Liam and Sean; his brothers-in-law, Chuck Varcoe and Craig Peterson; his sister Kathi Maben; Clifford and Melissa Jensen. He is also survived by cousins, niece and nephews.
