He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldonn Siedelmann and Shirley Siedelmann (Hocamp); his wife Denise Newton; his stepson Aaron Newton; and his brother J. Randy Siedelmann.

He is survived by: his sons, Jason Hastings of Council Bluffs, Alan Siedelmann (Katie Huff) of Greenfield and Neal Siedelmann (Brooke Wilson) of Greenfield; his grandchildren, Shelby, David, Ryan, Brayten, Haley, Brynnlee, Macyn, Jaxsyn, Austyn, Aaron and Pruett Newton; his great grandchild Jake; his sister Lori Siedelmann (Dwight Lahey) of Des Moines; his friend Yolanda Brittain (family: Rose Mellott) of Guthrie Center; and his sister-in-law Olivia. He is also survived by many other brother & sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and so many other good friends.
