It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alberta Pol of Pella, Iowa, who passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dick Terpstra and Minnie Terpstra (Van Maanen); her husband Marion Pol; her parents-in-law, Peter and Irene Pol; her son-in-law Craig Vander Wert; her grandsons, Dylan Pol, Eric Shacklett and Rich Brackett; her siblings, Julia Rumer, Irene (Raymond Bennick), Donna (Lee Asher), Wilbur and Delano; and her siblings-in-law, Leonard, Betty Pol, Wilma, Jake Goodyk, Marvin May, Ed Goemaat and Hank Van Hall.
She is survived by: her children, Merrill Pol (Lana) of Pella, Marla Renaud (Kevin) of Pella, Karla Vander Wert of Pella, Janice De Graaf (Steve) of Pella and Malinda Pol of Des Moines; her siblings, Viola Goemaat of Pella, Marilyn May of Pella, Twyla Meyers of Pella, Vernon Terpstra (Kay) of Monroe, Richard Terpstra (Mary) of Pella, Ivan Terpstra (Nancy) of Newton and Virgil Terpstra (Bertha) of Pella; and her siblings-in-law, Jeanette Van Hall of Pella and Larry Rumer of Pella. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren plus one on the way; and one great-great-grandchild.
