He was predeceased by: his parents, Dick Bandstra and Gerdena Bandstra (Van Ryswyk); his former wife Evelyn Hol; his son Richard Bandstra; his sisters, Marcia Bandstra and Judith Van Dusseldorp; and his brothers-in-law, Lawrence Van Dusseldorp and Ivan Maasdam.
He is survived by: his siblings, Carrol Bandstra (Carolyn), Betty Maasdam, Shirley Vore (Mike) and Alice Bandstra. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
