He is survived by: his parents, Mike Lynch and Judy Lynch; his wife Amy Shockley; his children, Deckar Andrew Lynch and Mallory Susan; his siblings, Michaela, Sean, Shane and Kevin; his nieces, Brynne Lynch, Megan Tarantino, Lauren and Gwen Konchar; and his nephew Owen Lynch. He is also survived by his former spouse and the mother of his children.

“I was so shock and sadden to learn of Chris's death, he was way too young to leave us. I knew and respected Chris when we were pilots in a MEDEV platoon at Ft. Sill, OK. We flew a lot of mission and many at night and some had a degree of difficulty but I knew I had the best fellow pilot sitting next to me. I remember how excited he was when his son, Decker, was born and how he loved Iowa, When he went to Korea I gave him an Iowa flag which hung in his room there. May he rest in peace”
