He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Norris and Ruth Norris (Ellis); his wife Carlene Johnson; his son-in-law David Wymer; his grandson Benjamin Carl Thompson; and his great grandchild Eloise Rose Thompson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan, Sharon (Bruce) and Sara (Tim). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Berean Baptist Church (314 Main St, Pella, IA 50219). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
David was president of the Heartland Foundation and wrote several books and booklets about the preservation of American historical foundations, biblical values for the family, as well as the harmonious function of the local church.
