He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Meiden and Jennie Vander Meiden (Van Haaften); and his granddaughter Jennifer Steensland. He is survived by: his wife Florence Esther Terpstra; and his children, Linda Steensland (Greg) of Council Bluffs, Lyle Vander Meiden (Kathy) of Pella, Mark Vander Meiden (Kathy) of Oskaloosa, Marcia Aguilar (Guillermo) of Pella and Venezuela. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
