He is survived by : his wife Leona Bloem Van Arendonk of Pella; his children, Darrel Van Veldhuizen (Beverly) of Eddyville, James Van Veldhuizen (Jeanette) of Chambersburg, PA. and Nancy Diehl (David) of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Melissa Eaton of Eddyville, LeAnne Walker (Norman) of River Falls, WI., Mary Ruth Brunton (Matt) of Newburgh, IN., Rachel Young (Troy) of Mercersburg, PA., Elisabeth Flinner (Aaron) of Darlington, PA., Philip Van Veldhuizen (Bethany) of Dresher, PA., Jonathan Van Veldhuizen (Dani) of Sterling, KS., Lt. Col. Joshua Diehl (Ginny), Seth Diehl of Iowa City, Jennifer Whitaker (Mike Leffler) of Ankeny and Jacqueline Teeple (Andy) of Altoona; his step-son Dan Van Arendonk (Vicki) of Oskaloosa; his sister Carolyn Van Wyk of Pella; his sister-in-law Darlene Veldhuizen; and his daughter-in-law Loraine Van Veldhuizen.
