He was predeceased by: his parents, William Swank and Wilma Swank (Schippers); his wife Kathy; his parents-in-law, Robert and Patricia McKay (Bass); his brother Robert Swank; his brothers-in-law, Mike McKay and Steve McKay; and his nephew Kenny McKay.
He is survived by: his son Chad Swank (Kelli) of Otley, IA; his grandchildren, Kaia VanderWerf (Great Granddaughter Ariel), Meav and Tia Swank; his daughter Holly La Barbera (Michael) of San Diego, CA; and his grandchildren, Jace, Briana and Brielle La Barbera.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Graceland Cemetery (2283 Graceland Dr, Pella, IA 50219).
Jerry spent many years working for Pella Construction, and later Pella Excavating and Foundation.
