It is with sadness that the passing of JoAnn Boot of Pella, Iowa is shared. JoAnn, born on August 29, 1937, passed away on October 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
JoAnn will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor JoAnn by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though JoAnn is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. JoAnn’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: John Veenstra and Ella (Vander Molen) Veenstra; husband: Carroll Boot; children: Eileen (Matt) Young, Candace Boot, Craig (Kris) Boot, and Glenda (Brian) Van Kooten; grandchildren: Scott (Alaina) Young, Matthew (Whitney) Young, Daniel Young, Ryan De Jong, Christopher (Tiffany) Rus, Maddy (Joey), Jacob Boot, Sydney (Garrett) Griggs, Stephanie (Brad) Rozendaal, Trisha (Jeremy) Vander Molen, and Brent (Lisa) Van Kooten; great-grandchildren: Maddie, Millie, Tanner, Westyn, Charley, Preston, Avery, Lennon, Ella, Jaelynn, Kodie, Jayse, Jaren, Ashton, Owen, Kylie, Bailey, Carson, Olivia, Allison, and Max; brother-in-law: Wilbur J. (Betty Lou) Boot; parents-in-law: Clarence and Anna Boot; siblings: Wilbur and Sarah Mae Veenstra, Greda and Art Uitermarkt, and Ray and Virginia Veenstra; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Boot and Reggie Boot; dear friend: Alenna Jansen; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cornerstone Church (1020 E Oskaloosa St, Pella, IA 50219). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of Pella.
