With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laurie Lukens (Pella, Iowa), who passed away on May 26, 2020 at the age of 58. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Laurie Lukens to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dale Lukens and Laurel Lukens (Michaels). She is survived by: her brother Alan Lukens (Lisa) of Pella; her siblings' children, Nicole, Amy, Laura (Alex), Andrew and David; her sister Nancy McLain (Michael) of Plainfield; her nephews, Matthew and Gregory; her great-niece Addison; and also Titus.

Memorial donations will be forwarded to Hope Reformed Presbyterian Church of Pella.

“Laurie and I were teachers and became friends at the Iowa Braille School. She was one of the most creative and practical teachers I have ever met and truly cared about her students. She was a blessing to me and my family and I feel honored to have known her as a friend. I lived in the house she bought in Pella in 1979-1980 and was hoping to visit her this summer and see all the updates she had made. Laurie will be missed!”
