We announce the death of Lee De Bruin of Pella, Iowa, who passed away on July 9, 2026, at the age of 88. Lee will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Louwsma and Marie Vermeer Hutton; her stepfather Roscoe Hutton; her sisters, Micki Weatherby, Ethel Strang, Maxine McKee and Betty Vermeer; and her parents-in-law, Arnold and Bernice De Bruin.
She is survived by: her husband Larry De Bruin; her son Scott De Bruin (Deb); her granddaughter Jessica Winegar (David); her great grandchildren, Dalton, Hudson and Josalynn Winegar; her daughter Vicki Simoens; her granddaughter Meagan Simoens (Brian Gerginski); her great grandchildren, Rowan Simoens and Abby Gerginski; her granddaughter Molly Snyder (Dave); her great grandchildren, Bodie and Nellie Snyder; her daughter Crysti Allen (Karl); her grandchildren, Ben Allen and Sara Jontz (Michael); and her great grandchildren, Julian and Reese Jontz. She is also survived by her loving family, church family, former coworkers, friends, and neighbors.
