He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Magnant and Therese Magnant (Coutu); and his former wife Mary Jane. He is survived by: his wife Denise of Ankeny; his siblings, Paul, Jayne Magnant of West Glover, Vermont, Patrice, Mark Mahoney of Williston, Vermont, Charles Magnant, Hank Arenz of Isle, John Magnant of Burlington, Billy, Judy Magnant of Colchester, Marie and Al Thomas of South Burlington; his aunt Joyce Coutu; and his cousin Michael.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Garden Chapel Funeral Home (1301 Main St, Pella, IA 50219). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
He also felt it was important to donate blood, sometimes going off his medications for a week so he was able to do so.
