It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ralph Van Roekel of Pella, Iowa, who passed away on March 15, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Roekel and Maggie Van Roekel (Van Ommen); his former wife Walleta Van Roekel; his children, Amy Van Roekel and Bruce Van Roekel; and his siblings, Joyce Van Weelden (Richard), Mildred Schanck (Asher) and Glen Van Roekel.
He is survived by: his brother Darrel (JoAnn Van Roekel); his sister-in-law Vera Van Roekel of Indianola; and his wife Lillian Stursma. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
