She is survived by : her children, Sandra Huston (Doug) of Union and Kevin VanDerHart (Marla) of Pella; her grandchildren, Kayla Huston of Pella, Kristin VanDerHart of Dubuque, Gabriella, Macy VanDerHart of Pella, Casey Huston (Sara) of Winterset, Anna Doolaard (Alex) of Steamboat Rock and Nikki LaFratte (Brad) of Mitchellville, Iowa; her great grandchildren, Claire Campbell, Harrison, Tucker Huston, Bailey, Brody, Saige, Sienna Huston, Ava, Emilia, Westen, Colt Doolaard, Tyler, Grace LaFratte and Ian Luetzelschwab; her brother Richard Shaffer of Pocahontas, Arkansas; and her siblings-in-law, Frank VanDerHart (Lois) of Snohomish, Katherine Seekamp, Tom VanDerHart (Connie) of Pella and Louis VanDerHart (Laura) of Newton, Iowa..

She knitted many stocking hats and scarves that were donated to Hope Ministries in Des Moines.
