He was predeceased by: his son Karl Freiburger; his parents, John Freiburger and Helen Freiburger (Walleser); his brother John Freiburger; his in-laws, Delbert and Joyce Kramer; his godchild Jamie Pottebaum; and his sister-in-law Diane Nauman.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Peter Freiburger of Dubuque, IA and Martina Freiburger of Monticello, IA; his granddaughters, Adaline, Cecilia and Lillian Freiburger; his sisters, Joan Harter (Joe), Connie Pottebaum and Anita McDermott (Gerald); and his siblings-in-law, Janice Freiburger, Sue Habel (Dan), Tom Kramer (Sharon), Mary Jane Kramer, Kelly Kauffmann (Bill) and Russ Nauman.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Reiff Funeral Home (894 Peosta St, Peosta, IA 52068). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (16318 Holy Family Ln, Peosta, IA 52068).
