He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Richard "J. R." and Margaret "Greta" Johnson (Cagaan); his wife Joyce of Peosta; his sons, Mike (Jane) of Alexandria and Curt (Michelle) of Frederick, Maryland; his grandchildren, Kim (Chris), Kate, Olivia, Sophia, Nick and Ava; his sister-in-law Janell; his nephews, Klint, Keven and Richard; and his brother Karl.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (2145 John F Kennedy Rd, Dubuque, IA 52002). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra or the Dubuque Chorale.
