With sadness, we share the passing of Gary Danzer of Peosta, Iowa. Gary, born on September 14, 1945, passed away on August 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Gary for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Gary’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Danzer and Mary Danzer. He is survived by: his wife Donna Ferring of Lansing; his children, Brian Danzer and Lisa Danzer; his granddaughter Chloe Meisner; and his great grandchildren, Aida Faye, Everly Mabel and Ollie Gray Meisner. He is also survived by his three greatest joys.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory (2595 Rockdale Rd, Dubuque, IA 52003).
