Phyllis E. Layman Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 3, 2025, at the age of 86, Phyllis E. Layman of Percival, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. Dukes and Jessie E. Dukes (Coffman); her husband Jim; and her daughter Rhonda Shirley. She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Phillips (Jeff) of Hamburg, IA; her grandchildren, Heather Lenae Shirley of Omaha, NE, Emily O'Rourke (Matt) of Glenwood, IA, Justin Phillips (Samantha) of Hamburg, IA, Joel DeLong of Lake Forest, CA and Garett Phillips of Hamburg, IA; and her great grandchildren, Lauren, Elijah, Ryleigh, Claire, Edith and Amelia.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gude Mortuary (403 S 9th St, Nebraska City, NE 68410). A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Percival Community Church.
Memorials may be given to Percival Hometown Pride or Percival Community Church.
