We are sad to announce that on October 30, 2020, at the age of 90, Dick Shoesmith of Perry, Iowa, born in Guthrie Center, Iowa passed away. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Arthur and Minnie Luella Shoesmith (Jones); his wife Shirley Vance Christianson of Perry, IA; his sisters, Beverly Covault and Geraldine Benshoof; his children, Lori McMullin (Jeff) of Urbandale, IA and Mendy Ritzman (Denis) of Creston, IA; his grandchildren, Sean, Leslie McMullin of Urbandale and Jeromie Ritzman (Alisha); his great grandchildren, Hailey, Conner and Riley of Gill, CO; his granddaughter Jessica Ritzman; and his great grandchildren, Torrin and Coraline of Urbandale, IA..

Dick's family requires everyone to wear face coverings and practice social distancing while attending visitation and funeral service.
