She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard E. Rothmeyer and Leonora Rothmeyer (Naberhaus); her husband Norton Chayet; and her siblings, Richard Rothmeyer, Rose Bingaman, Margaret Ure and Ruth VonGuerard.
She is survived by: her sons, David Chayet (Kim) of Shorewood, MN, Jeffrey Chayet of Urbandale, IA and Barry Chayet of Perry, IA; her stepdaughter Randi Peskin of Parkland, FL; her grandchildren, Tiffany, Christopher, Benjamin, Lauren, Zachary and Kenadi; her stepgrandchildren, Alex, Melissa and Noah; and her siblings, John Rothmeyer (Paula), Ronald Rothmeyer (Sheila), Vincent Rothmeyer (Debbie), Gerald Rothmeyer (Kayla), Barbara Butler (Joe), Marilyn Long (Allen) and Donna Clausen. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Violet Hill Cemetery (1700 Park St, Perry, IA 50220).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family and sent to Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, 1721 Park Street, Perry, IA 50220.
