Gail Monthei Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gail Monthei of Perry, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Gail farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gail is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was predeceased by: his parent Vava Monthei (Wood); his former wife Carolyn Schriefer; his brother Keith Monthei; and his father Bill Monthei. He is survived by: his wife Pat; his children, Marc Monthei and Carrie McCain; and his sister Judy Wills.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family in Gail's name for a memorial to be decided at a later date.
