It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy J. Wetherell of Peterson, Iowa, who passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ambrose Heinis and Elizabeth Heinis (Flugel); her husband Roy Wetherell (Andy); her siblings, Myrtle Dawson (John), Helen Smith (Orville), Pearl Frangenberg (Otto), Edy Sand (Merle), June Davis (Dale), Ralph Heinis (Margaret) and Lyle Heinis (Vivian); her daughter-in-law Sandy Wetherell; her great great grandchild Parker Wetherell; her parents-in-law, Mae and Merle Wetherell; and her siblings-in-law, Pat Mason, Ray Wetherell and Robert Wetherell (Mariana).
She is survived by: her sons, Ronald Wetherell (Carol Leidahl) of Cleghorn and Mick Wetherell (Alice) of Cleghorn, Iowa; her grandchildren, Todd Wetherell (Pam) of Cleghorn, Lisa White (Boyd) of Cherokee, Wendi Zent (Allen) and BJ Wetherell (Erica) of Clarksville, Tennessee; her great great grandchildren, Stephanie Hill (Kevin), Steven Wetherell (Kristin), Michael Wetherell (Callie), Ryan White (Briana), Tyler White (Liz), Dawson Zent, Andrew, Asher and Grace Wetherell; her sister-in-law Wilda Wetherell of Peterson, Iowa; Brayan, Sami, Lily, Hudson, Hazel, Henley, Cooper, Harper, Bennett, Mason, Corbin, Elyce and Eliana. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in Toppy's honor to the Peterson CRU.
