He was predeceased by: his parents, Earle Puttmann and Betty Puttmann (Johnson); his sister Carol Lensink; his nephews, Jonathan Puttmann and Christopher Hansen; and his niece Carolyn Stoulil.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Hansen; his children, Alicia Caspers (Brett) of Ely and Kirk Puttmann (Sara) of Keota, Iowa; his grandchildren, Johanna, Hewitt, Everett Caspers, Grace, Sophia, Elijah and Jenna Puttmann; his brothers, Douglas Puttmann (Sandy) of Everett, Washington, Steve Puttmann (Dianna) of Dell Rapids, Jeff Puttmann (Patty) of Pierson and Rich Puttmann (JoEllen) of Sioux City; and his siblings-in-law, Leonard Lensink, Lori, Paul, Brian, Tina, Susan, Rick and Eileen. He is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM. A prayer was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Kingsley Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Faith United Presbyterian Church (4327 Morningside Ave, Sioux City, IA 51104). The military honors was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Harrison Peterson American Legion Post 291 of Pierson, American Legion-Nash.
