He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his children, Sheena Carnes (Jason) of Waverly and Joseph "Joe" (Nikki Prickett) of Plainfield; his grandchildren, Sabrina Carnes (Zach Streich) of Waterloo, Sara Carnes of Waverly, Ashlyn Carnes of Waverly, Natalie and Harrison Schmitt of Lebanon; his great grandchild Delilah Carnes; his siblings, Matthias "Butch" Franzen (Nancy) of Waverly, Donald Franzen (Kathy) of Plainfield, Steven Franzen of Plainfield, Eleanor Storjohann (Don) of Cedar Falls, Carolyn Cole of Bonita Springs, FL, Glenda Endelman of New Hampton and Debra Thompson (Jerry Roth) of Cedar Falls; his sisters-in-law, June Franzen and Kim Franzen; Johnathan Iriarte (Chainee) and Jeremy Iriarte (Amber). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
