It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leland Clair Johnston of Plainfield, Iowa, who passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Clair and Edith Anna Johnston (Hastings); and his siblings, Leonard, Lloyd (Sue) and Irene Koob (Lloyd).

He is survived by: his wife Joan Marie Kirwan; and his children, Donna Stumme of Newton, Diane Weiss (Mick) of Waverly, Douglas Johnston (Nadine) of Colorado Springs, Donald Johnston (Deb) of Plainfield and Dale Johnston of Pooler, Georgia. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
