She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Hunter Sr. and Dorothea Rae Jones (Smith); her husband Gerald Carpenter; her parents-in-law, DW and Ruth Carpenter; and her siblings, Glenn Hunter Jones Jr. and Joann Hatfield.
She is survived by: her children, Lori Hauenstein (Russ) of Port Orchard, Vicki Kirkeby (Rich) of Des Moines, Mark Carpenter, Michelle Nava of Mingo, Cindi Richey (Ron) of Pleasant Hill and Jim Carpenter (Sandi) of Grimes; and her grandchildren, David Hauenstein (Luella) of Port Orchard, Kevin Hauenstein of Port Orchard, Amanda Kimberley (Jeff) of Collins, Gary Jr. Link (Jackie) of Van Meter, Greg Link of Maxwell, Jessica Romanack (Alan) of Texas, Steven Carpenter (Lynda) of San Antonio, Julie Johnson (Joe) of Ankeny, Doug Carpenter of Des Moines, Nikki Berglund (Brian) of Des Moines, Zach Richey (Samantha) of Des Moines, Josh Richey of Pleasant Hill and Tina Mills (Derrick) of Atlanta. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
