Roger leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Roger’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Roger will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his brother James; and his great grandchild Lucas Bowers. He is survived by: his wife Janet McNally; his children, Kathleen Cole (Kent), Dale Larson (Traci) and Gary Larson (Mary); and his brothers, Bobby and Dennis Larson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; many great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (3300 Easton Blvd, Des Moines, IA 50317). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Iowa Veteran's Cemetery (34024 Veterans Memorial Dr, Adel, IA 50003).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to American Heart Association or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
