She was predeceased by: her parents, Herb Carter and Ruby Carter (Phillips); her son Toby Richards; her siblings, Vic Carter, Kay Vodochodsky and Becky Worthington; and her siblings-in-law, Pete Worthington and Shirley Carter.
She is survived by: her son Todd Alan (Christine); her husband Jim Richards; her daughter-in-law Dianna; her grandsons, Randy Nicholson (Kacie), Craig Richards and Kyle Richards (Taylor); her great grandchildren, Teagan and Rhett Nicholson; her siblings, Billy Carter, Chris Carter (Lisa) and Beth Core (Steve); and her sister-in-law Kathy Carter. She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Pierschbacher Funeral Homes - Knoxville (309 W Main St, Knoxville, IA 50138). Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
