With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marian Ekstrand of Pocahontas, Iowa, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on June 24, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Anderson and Ruth Anderson; her husband C. Wilbur "Web" Ekstrand; and her siblings, Raymond (Carol Anderson), Doris Jackson and Vivian Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Peter Ekstrand (Cindy) of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Karen Landin (Don) of Eagan, MN, Dean Ekstrand (Deb) of Pocahontas, Don Ekstrand (Janet) of Yamanaka and Yamanashi; her brother Edward (Cindy Anderson) of Fridley, MN; and her brothers-in-law, Ernest Johnson (Vivian) of Stratford, IA and Richard Jackson (Doris) of Grand Junction, CO. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
