He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Joens and Jennie Joens (Schoon); his sisters, Arlene Edge and Wilma Fisher; and his grandson Spenser Baskerville.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Truelson; his children, Dave Joens of Johnston and Sandy Baskerville (Steve) of Spirit Lake; and his sister Bernice Knight of Humboldt. He is also survived by six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
