He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Johnson and Florence Johnson (Gustafson). He is survived by: his wife Janet of Pomeroy; his children, Vonda Bindel (T. J.) of Pocahontas, Darren Johnson (Araceli) of Holstein and Brenda Johnson of Pomeroy; his grandchildren, Keaton, Kolton Bindel, Branden, Lea Johnson, Michael Rebollozo (Hannah) and Priscilla Rebollozo (Em); and his sister Arlys Johnson (Dale) of Pomeroy. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (313 IA-7, Newell, IA 50568). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at the Union Cemetery (1949 Marengo Ave, Pomeroy, IA 50575).
