She was predeceased by: her husband Jack; her daughter Kelly Davenport; her grandson Caleb Strable; her niece Julie Junker; her nephew Brian Newhouse; her daughter-in-law Cindi Strable; her parents, Frank Chittenden and Helen Chittenden; her siblings, Kathy Wilson and Francis "Whitey" Chittenden; her parents-in-law, Carl and Mae Strable; and her siblings-in-law, Phyllis Newhouse (Virgil), Sara Sue Groth and Frank Strable (Sylvia).
She is survived by: her children, Pat Strable (Diana) and Sherry Strable; her grandchildren, Jennifer L'Estrange, Eric Strable and Jennifer Wieland (Tony); her siblings, Dorothy Murphy, Nancy Brown, Helen Clark, Eldon Chittenden, Bill Chittenden, Ray Chittenden (Kay) and Art Chittenden (Sandra); her son-in-law Kent Davenport; and her brother-in-law John Groth. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Overton Funeral Home (501 W Ashland Ave, Indianola, IA 50125). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Blair Chapel Cemetery.
