He is survived by: his wife Erin; his son Michael Karnatz (Emma); his grandchildren, Cash and Hayes Karnatz; his parents, Ronald Karnatz and Lynn Karnatz; his brother Mark Karnatz (Crystal); his sister-in-law Brenda Frye (Joel); and his sibling's children, Rylie, Halie Karnatz and Gerhardt Frye.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Norwalk United Methodist Church (1100 Gordon Ave, Norwalk, IA 50211). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Carper Vineyard and Winery (4603 Dakota St, Norwalk, IA 50211).
Memorial contributions may be made in Matt's name to Ducks Unlimited, in lieu of flowers.
