He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Connolly and Therese L Connolly (Sweeney); his brother James Connolly; his granddaughter Danica Keune; and his nephew Eric Connolly.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Kay; his children, Jennifer Kruse, John Connolly, Rebecca Keune (Jonathan), Lisa Higdon (Shane) and Amy Jo Connolly (Ryan McClintock); his sisters, Ellen Hosch (Mark) of Eldridge, IA, Joyce Rogers (Jim) of Iowa City, IA and Jill Connolly of Dubuque, IA; and his grandchildren, Kassie Kruse, Ashton Keune, Jayden Keune, Mason Keune, Makayla Keune, Lexi Higdon, Chloe Higdon, Shelby Higdon, Aubrey Higdon and Carson McClintock. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
