As Barbara departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Barbara. Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold and LaVina Hodnefield (Osmundson); her husband Alvern Ellwood; and her siblings, Carolyn McCoskey and Robert "Bob" Hodnefield.
She is survived by: her children, Steve (Kelly) of Radcliffe, Iowa, Tim of Maple Grove and Lori Crellin (John) of Maple Grove, Minnesota.; her grandchildren, Rachel Nutsch (Brian) of Arvada and Nathan Crellin (Diana) of Alexandria; and her great grandchild Loretta Joyce Crellin (Letty).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Stavanger Lutheran Church (15407 Oak St, Garden City, IA 50102).
